  I can use my burner again! 30 January 2017

  When the cheesy plastic knob for one of my gas hob burners cracked in two, I was devastated. I had always assumed it was metal, considering the knob is on a stainless steel hob. Hah! Was I wrong! I was shocked at just how flimsy the thing was, and how easily it had broken. Then I decided to do something about it. A Google search turned up this replacement knob. I received it in less than a week. It is MUCH more sturdy than the original knob it is replacing. It took me less than 30 seconds to pop it into place, and it worked immediately. It is definitely different in size and style from the standard knobs, so folks who care to be "matchy-matchy" should probably buy four and replace all their hob knobs. Why not? They are inexpensive. Besides, once you realize just how flimsy the original knobs are, it makes sense to replace them just to avoid future problems.
