  Not quite as universal a fit as indicated 13 April 2016

  The Kit supplied provided adaptors for all the shaft diameters you could wish for, However they were supplied in two lengths which in our case was either to short, couldn't connect with the shaft or too long and stood 12 to 15mm above the base plate! So be prepared to cut the adaptors down to suit your appliance. Other than that does what it says on the tin!

  One size fits all but doesn't look good 16 January 2016

  I found it unbelievable that Hotpoint no longer make the control knob for my oven. Although they did give me the part number this was little use as no-one supplies them. While the universal knob does the trick, it took quite some time to work out which spindle was needed. It also looks different although I knew it would. But for the price paid it is excellent value

  Good value but some issues 29 December 2015

  Being universal these are a jack of all trades and master of none. Firstly there did not seem to be one adaptor that fitted 'just right'. Not helped by the lengths of the cooker shaft lengths being different on the oven/grill to the ring ones. I had to use smaller adaptors as spacers on some. Secondly, it helps to push the adaptor down the final bit with the knob part. But this can only be done as the fit is so loose which highlights another problem. Which is that I got these to help my mother not leave a ring on by accident. If a knob were to fall off, she could put it on wrong and have a ring on, thinking it was off as the 'off' position has changed. Not a problem you would get with the original knob. I had to put teflon tape around the adaptor and push on the knob to get it to be a tight fit. You could use glue, I guess. But overall, once done, in terms of price/performance they are great value. Recommended.

  I have looked at several so called universal oven knobs but this was the first to include a 1/4 inch fitting for my old Flavel camping stove! Well done.

  most useful thing ever 09 December 2015

  It is great to be able to use all the rings on my gas cooker and also the oven. The knobs work well but don't match the originals. Thinking of replacing them all with these.

  Practical solution 10 February 2015

  as long as you are careful finally positioning the knob relative to the facia, these were a very acceptable solution and are not out of place on the appliance. Would use these again.
