  Arrived promptly, as always from Espares. The part itself was very easy to fit, just make sure you get the spring lined up so that it has tension. Best to ensure you take a photo of the way the spring is fitted before removing the metal bar. The online fitting video was very useful.

  Relatively Straight Forward DIY Job. 23 February 2022

  If you are new to doing this, give yourself about an hour. The fiddly bits are figuring how to get everything back together (particularly making sure the glass doesn't move as you are trying to buckle things up) and making sure the spring is against its tensioners. NOTE: the exact tensioning mechanism might be a little different to what is shown in the video.
