  Success! Fridge back in service! 10 August 2022

  One hinge loop on the handle of the internal freezer door of the fridge broke off in use, making the freezer section difficult to use. I searched for spares and found the correct one on eSpares. It arrived quickly and was protected well, so it arrived intact. I checked that the handle fitted perfectly into the hinge (original and not supplied with the handle) and the door, separately, before I took the door off. However, fitting the complete assembly into the door was a struggle and took some patience. I think you have to line up the hinge pins with small chamfers in the door fixings. Then all of a sudden everything clicked into place! This is poor original design of the door and nothing to do with the fit of the handle. The door easily fitted back in place and when it closed there was an assuring "click" that it was securely closed again. If eSpares could provide some fitting instructions, or diagram, to show which way to fit the hinge part that would save some exasperation. Although the handle is a simple device, it is very difficult to fit because of the original design. Thank you eSpares. My fridge is now a useful asset again.

  Sturdy replacement 10 May 2020

  This is a well-made replacement handle, but hard to get on. The old handle was still hanging on (the lower hook had snapped off) so I knew how to fit this, but could not get quite enough force to push it on. I followed a few of the other suggestions, and the one that worked for me was filing down the hook a little at an angle. Still a snug fit, but easier to push into place on the door.

  Ice Box handle replacement. 14 May 2017

  This is a great item but lacks fitting instructions so is a bit of a puzzle. The barrel it is fixed to needs prising out gently, then replace the handle and snap back into place. Needs gentle handling or it is easy to snap the plastic. Once fitted does an excellent job. Please provide a video on fitting it.
