  The part is grossly over priced, but cheaper than a new toaster. My model of toaster was not listed, I called E spares for advice and they were supposed to get back to me, but never did. So I took a gamble and luckily it was the correct part

  a direct replacement to the original switch so no problem fitting it which took five minutes to do. toaster now working properly

  Simple can be best! 09 April 2014

  The replacement timer is of a much newer design than the 15/20 year old version it replaced. Removing the fitting for the old unit can be a problem. WD40 and a small hammer will sort out the problem. The connections for the wiring don't match old to new. It's not hard to work out with a meter.

  New toaster for old 24 March 2014

  Although the toaster is less than 5 years old no trace of model number was found on either the manufacturers or e-spares site. Took a chance on timer that appeared similar to that requiring replacement and easily fitted and now as good as new, excellent value and helpful tips on website as always.

  Make sure you take the bottom off the toaster look at back of timer there are different types Mi2 and Mi7. It says on the back of the timer which you need.

  Replacement problem 22 January 2014

  First let me say I think dualit are the best toasters in the world, but how annoying is it, to go to all the time and effort of buying and fitting a replacement part, only to find the new part develops the SAME PROBLEM as the the old – within two weeks!!! What are the Quality Control guys doing, down there in Dualit land? With that said, the day was saved buy eSpares who quickly and efficiently replaced the dodgy part with new... at no extra cost. So... 5 stars to eSpares for customer support but only 1 Star for Dualit for their replacement parts and quality control. PS: I'm still wondering if this new part is going to develop the same fault as the other two, which shouldn't really be the case...so pull your socks up Dualit, and you'll find you get more of the 5 star treatment from your loyal customers.

  It is worth mentioning what can cause any element to fail is a 'hot spot'. on a cooker this can be fat splashing and burning. In a toaster it could occur if a bread crumb contacts the element. It may be worth checking for loose crumbs if using a 'granary' type of bread and 'dusting' the surface to remove these. As you are aware eSpares will replace a faulty part if it fails within its 'warranty period'.

  Perfect replacement 10 January 2014

  I bought a replacement toaster timer for my Dualit (2 slot) toaster as the old one kept sticking causing at best burnt toast and at worst a clear risk of a fire hazard. The genuine replacement part works perfectly. Super easy to fit, included the screws (etc.) that were needed. It seemed expensive, but then seeing as it has turned my 7 year Dualit into a brand new working toaster again - which would be considerably more to replace - it's worth it. Aside from the actual product - the espares service and buying experience was great too.

  required purchase 18 November 2013

  initially I thought the product purchased- a toaster would last longer than it has. the control timer gave up the ghost fairly soon after the 2 year warranty went. the next control knob lasted 10 months. lets see what happens to this replacement. e-spares make it easy to replace parts and have a no quibble replacement policy so I cannot be that awkward

  Simple replacement 14 November 2013

  Only problem was my Combi does not display any model number so I had to guess. The timer was not an exact look-alike but it fitted easily and works fine. Good result.
