  Waveguide cover 09 March 2018

  Good stuff, Be sure to use a sharp pointed stanley knife for first cut . Scissors tend to leave a crumble edge if you try to cut off too much. Also a hole punch is better than a twist drill if you have to make a hole.

  Easy to cut and replace 01 February 2018

  I opted to buy the universal wave guide cover as it seemed better value than the genuine replacement and, having watched the video guide, it seemed easy. It was. It took minutes to cut and fit and I have enough for several more replacements, should I need them. Excellent value.

  Good solution 30 January 2018

  With no ready made product for a replacement wave guide cover, buying a sheet and cutting it to size is a good solution. I used the old cover as my template and, using a sharp blade and steel rule, atop a cutting sheet (don’t do it on your best table!), I was able to carefully cut the correct shape. Severe scorings are needed as the cover material is quite dense. With a little trimming, it fits perfectly. What’s more I have the remaining sheet for further replacements if needed.

  I would strongly recommend watching the "How to" video. Cutting to size isn't difficult, but you do need a good sharp knife and patience. If you try to rush it with an unsuitable knife, you're unlikely to succeed! I did it first time, but even if I'd failed, there's enough material supplied to make many attempts. Put any left over sheet away carefully, should you or any of your friends need a wave guide cove in the future, there's enough to make several more covers.
