  What a saving 06 May 2015

  My in-laws were about to throw away their microwave as it was sparking, a check showed a new wave guide cover was required. A single wave guide cover would have cost the same as this sheet which will produce at least ten - fantastic value. The sheet is easy to cut to size with scissors or a craft knife. So a pricey microwave has been saved for a few pounds and maybe ten minutes labour.

  Cost effective 02 April 2015

  Bought this as significantly cheaper than the actual part and it wasn't difficult to cut, although I did take two goes to get the right size. Fortunately I could have another 4/5 attempts if necessary with the size of the sheet.

  Microwave waveguide cover 27 March 2015

  I ordered two to make more cost effective, however should have paid more attention to the size as I now have enough material to renew monthly for next ten years. Extremely good value.

  Cheaper than manufacturer's spare 03 February 2015

  My microwave only has a small cover so I have enough here for up to 20 covers! Easy to cut with a craft knife and scissors - only took 10 minutes to cut and fit. Used old broken cover to make a paper template from which to cut from the mica sheet.

  Good strong sheet of mica, needs care when trimming. 10 November 2014

  The "Universal wave guide cover" arrived well protected in a strong envelope. If anything the quality was better than the original. It needed care when trimming to size - mica flakes easily - and once the correct size it had to be carefully bent into a curve to get it under the retaining tags. I did this by sliding a wooden former under the sheet while I got it under the tags, and then slid out the wooden former to allow the sheet to straighten. Result - better than new.

  Useful! 16 November 2013

  A bit surprised at the size of the sheet of material provided. Enough for about 20 waveguide covers? It would have helped if information as to which side should be used on the waveguide opening? Cutting a bit tricky too! I used a Stanley knife which did the trick. Microwave still works ok so must have fitted it properly?

  Excellent product and service but the size of the replacement part is far too big and wasteful. I am sure that I could get more than a dozen replacements from the one sheet and unless stored carefully could become damaged and therefore a waste. A smaller item and therefore cheaper might be more practical although not such value for money but more environmentally friendly.

  Great but! 12 July 2013

  Thought I'd have to throw my microwave out as it was sparking with smoke inside. However a little research on the net told me what it was so I ordered the material. For just under £6 I managed to repair fairly easily and have enough to repair another 10 microwaved so great value!
