  Hadn't realised the difference a new filter could make to an old dyson. Wondered why the machine always blew out hot air and left crumbs on the floor. It fitted as easy as the online video showed. Would recommend this to anyone.

  It took me a few minutes to work out how to get the old filter out and I found this info online. It was very worthwhile changing this filter on my DC05 and the Dyson works brilliantly now.

  Can not comment on quality yet as it has only been used for two weeks! My question is how can Dyson sell their filter for more than twice as much? This is another example of manufacturers rip off prices once they have sold their product. Black and Decker are another example.

  An Essential item 20 December 2012

  On my Dyson DC08 the filters are easily changed..A little bit expensive for a filter but still an essential item to keep your vacuum in top condition. It says its washable but this one best changed now and again..The other Top filter is sponge type which is really good as that can be cleaned in soapy water, squeezed out,dried and put back...Both are very well made and quality items...
