  I have had my vacuum for about eighteen months and have washed the filter many times , the only problem is whilst it is drying I cannot do any vacuuming (shame!:-)).So I have purchased a new filter and WOW!!!! the difference was amazing , it is back to how it was when I bought it. For the sake of a few pounds , I would advise getting two (Save on postage)

  A great replacement filter - after the dog ate the original But even cleaning our old filter regularly the performance of the replacement made the suction like new - should get a replacement more regularly
