  Hi Chris You cannot create a thread from screwing a screw through the latch It just pushes though the hole and falls off, my original latch comes threaded and screws in perfectly. Please be advised you will have to manually thread this latch yourself once purchased.

  No point buying this 21 June 2017

  Part doesn't come with thread so you cannot screw this onto the oven door! Bit pointless as it cannot be used without being screwed to the cooker,

  We have now added the following to the part description: Note: the holes on this catch do not have 'threads' as the original screws will cut these threads as they are screwed in.

  Before purchase I read the related reviews for the product which were all helpful and give instructions on how to fit. The door catch really is easy to install and is better quality than the original and works to hold the door more effectively too.

  Repairing earlier Stoves cooker door catch 15 April 2014

  The good, clear photograph enabled me to see that this catch was just a development of the earlier catch fitted to my older Stoves cooker. I waa able to remove just the rollers and their axle pins and fit them into my broken catch. All is now working well.
