Straight like-for-like replacement; easy to fit, once you work out how to do it! Very easy to dismantle switch housing - the trick to getting the existing wires out is to insert a tiny screwdriver (or equivalent) to relax the jaws of the self-locking mechanism. Inverting them in the new switch and re-assembling is a dawdle.

Correct part, exact match to original. Care requried when fitting to ensure cable grips in lawnmower handle don't damage the mains cable when fitting (it has to bend sharply thourgh the grips).

Easy for me 16 May 2012
As i have preveious background in electrical fitting i knew i had a problem with the switch on my Bosch Rotak 40 i placed the order and within 4 days it had arrived. The part was easy to fit and by all appearances is the same as the original.The part was very reasonably priced and would be confident in buying from e-spares again as i have done so in the past.

Enabled power cable repair to be carried out 16 September 2011
My mower stopped working due to an internal break in the neutral wire. In order to effect a repair I dismantled the switch housing and cut the cable back until I got continuity to the 13amp plug. After stripping and soldering the cable ends I was able to use the new switch to achieve a successful repair. Possibly I could have just used the old switch but after yanking out the old cable ends I thought it best to replace the switch in case the "new" cable ends worked loose.

New switch for Lawnmower 16 August 2011
First time user of espares and was delighted with their service. The switch was identical to the faulty one and once I had found out how to remove the wires and replace on the new switch it was all systems go for mowing.

Bosch lawnmower switch 28 October 2010
Trying to fit a new switch to a Bosch lawn mower is difficult to say the least, you need 2 pairs of hands. the switch does not have tightening screws which means the wires kept falling out, I got there in the end but it is a very fiddly job.

The switch we were replacing was 25-30 years old so the replacement was not an exact copy. But by taking apart the old one we managed to work out how to attach the new one to the cable. The lawnmower is now working as well as before so in effect we have managed to recycle it instead of consigning it to the tip. A pleasing result was achieved.
