  Bought this for a Whirlpool microwave 11 September 2017

  Bought this motor to replace the one in my Ikea Whirlpool microwave. It looked the same as the one in my microwave although it is listed as for a Panasonic microwave. Was cheaper than the motor for the Whirlpool so I thought I would be clever and get this one...... Arrived in Slovenia very quickly as with all Espares deliveries and postage is really reasonable. When fitting it it became apparent that the spindle that connects to the turntable was bigger than that of my Whirlpool....... Ended up having to strip down the motors and swapped the internal metal backplate with cog pins, the cogs and the plastic spindle for the turntable from the old motor and put them in the new motor. Bit of a pain but only took about ten minutes to figure it out, works like a dream now. I would advise taking a photo of the cogs in place if you do decide to swap them over. If you are not confident with this sort of thing, pay the extra and buy the one for the Whirlpool. One word of warning, do not rotate the turntable spindle manually with pliers whilst the two metal electrical connectors of the motor are touching the palm of your hand or for that matter any other body part. I gave myself a nasty shock, like a capacitor discharging. This was not connected to the mains, kind of a dynamo effect I would imagine. Every day's a learning curve!

  espare offer outstanding variety of parts and their 'is this compatible' section very useful but manufacturers cannot always be relied upon to keep the spec the same. If you are prepared risk 'if it walks like a duck,talks like a duck, it's a duck' mentality ring espare and check if a non compatible part really is if the illustrated part looks closely like the one you want. Carry on the excellent work espare.

  Combination oven repreived 30 September 2014

  At ten years old the Turntable motor on our Panasonic combination oven decided to quit life as it knew it, at such an age I doubted that I would be able to get a replacement but espares were able to supply, in 24 hours as well. That was a bonus as this oven is used for all my daily cooking. Now for the bad news the Web Site states if you order early enough you'll receive the goods by 9 am next day we didn't but it was delivered as DPD stated in their email between 12:00 and 13:00 hrs

  Received in time, fitted well into the original assembly - no adjustment were necessary, Could the supplier/manufacturer have supplied some screws/kit to fix the plate that was part of the bottom base plate, but had to be broken off to replace the part.

  Easy process to purchase.Delivery took a long time.Easy to fit once I had worked out how to get into the under side of the unit.You will need side cutters and a screw driver.Oh and do not forget to take out the bits before tipping up the unit and watch your back its heavy.

  essential purchase for panasonic microwaves 08 June 2012

  Common fault on panasonic microwaves that stops the turntable from turning causing hots spots in your porridge. the motor is easy to fit, had it done in 15 minutes including knocking off the bottom cover. The motor is a generic one and is probably not large enough to cope with demands put on it, espares were fine too!
