Important, oven door seals 16 February 2015
Like most people, I am sure, I checked on google and was pleasantly surprised that I could find a universal door seal that I could fit myself and which would be OK for our 25year old Maxol gas oven. We were trying to replace this oven but could not find a gas oven with such comprehensive program controls, so decided to do it up and carry on using it. Cookaburra cleaned it up, but I fitted your door seals with no problem and it now works better than ever before for the last 25 years. My sincere thank for a product that does better than what it said on the tin!! Fitting was simple, results were amazing. Thankyou for providing a review process that I hope will be useful for others. Does not do the job 31 January 2015
Fitted it as supplied, followedinstructions, first use seal expanded letting out heat. Had to stretch seal and add extra fixings - paper clips. This is most disappointing. I cannot reccomend this.

Universal Oven Door Seal 28 January 2015
Watched the video on how to fit the seal, then purchased the item. Quick delivery, easy to follow instructions, job done in ten minutes. Now the oven heats up quicker and is much quieter as the old seal was well past it's sell by date! Very happy, should have replaced it years ago.

Simple to cut to size and fit. Works very well and now the oven reaches the correct temperature quickly. Delivered on time with good communications from espares.

A lot cheaper alternatives are available but didn't want to take the risk. Needed to adjust the corner fastenings slightly for it to stay in position. Otherwise very easy to fit, just follow the instructions.

All very easy but it was not made clear which side needed to go against oven and which side faced out. Being a novice, my first attempt I had to guess so am hoping it works.

Disappointing 25 November 2014
Sadly despite optimism that this would be a simple job it proved to be very difficult. Having managed to cut it to fix and sealing the joins, on fitting the seal it became impossible for the oven door to shut properly as the seal was thicker than the existing one. So in the end called the professionals in who also tried but in the end abandoned it and ordered a fresh thinner ready made seal!!!!!!

An easy fix for a failed seal 18 February 2015
Arrived on time, easily fitted and stopped the heat from escaping ! I would recommend this seal as a factory replacement
