Excellent replacement for De Dietrich freezer 21 August 2015
Pretty expensive for what it is, but perfect replacement for broken original. Lack of De Dietrich branding is not an issue. Fitting was straightforward provided necessary care is taken.

Very poor fitting-feel it is going to break each time we open drawer!! 29 October 2013
Bought a replacement freezer (flip-down) shelf for top shelf in freezer. It was difficult to fit and feels so fragile-you can see it flexing as you open it! I have decided not to use this shelf now as I know opening it will snap it!!! This is a disappointment because it was not cheap and I need the space?

Easy replacement 17 September 2012
If like me you are prone to breaking the drop down top door of your freezer, you'll need one of these. It is a genuine replacement and easy to fit providing you first remove the shelf to which it attaches. If you try to replace it in situ, you can easily break it.

A real bargain 11 September 2012
An original De Dietrich flap sells elsewhere for vastly more and only differs visibly from this part in that it has a company logo and some freezer symbols. Time will tell whether the plastic is of the same quality although I hope to get at least the same as the damaged flap (4-5 years). There were no fitting instructions and I removed the old flap by sliding off one of the retaining clips. Unfortunately I couldn't reverse the process and found that I needed to replace the clip and then spring both slightly apart to take the protrusions on the flap.

De Dietrich Top Freezer Compartment Flap 04 September 2011
The design of the flaps and their positioning makes for inevitable destruction by users who are shorter than 5'9" tall as it is impossible to reach contents stored in compartments with such flaps without resting on the door and breaking the hinges. The replacement doors are perfect fit, but without the original printed icons make the replacement freezer door an obvious mismatch.

Slight damage but resolved immediately 02 February 2018
I ordered 2 freezer flap doors. Both came damaged ( one cracked and the other was chipped. I was still able to install both but was afraid that if I didn't report the damage it would be too later later. I was surprised that they were not bubble wrapped as they are particularly light material. They must have got a heavy bang for the two of them to be damaged. The box they came in was too large also and probably contributed to the cause. Having said that the lady I spoke too ( Holly I think ) was extremely friendly and understanding and set up my returns for me, ordered my new replacements for me and there now on their way .
