  A part for my mower that I did not expect to obtain. 25 May 2020

  I bought this rather speculatively because the actual lawn raker model is not listed by eSpares. It is TYP 0600888142. However, I found I could fit the part by driving out the fixing pin with a thin bradawl.

  This product has no grub screws and a special tool is required to fit the pinion (not supplied ) Could easily supply tool with the order even if it cost a bit more. Very disappointed

  If the pinion does not use grub screws it is likely to be fixed using a spring pin pushed through the pinion and shaft. There is no specific tool available to remove this. To remove the pin rest one side of the pinion over a suitable tube like a spark plug socket and carefully punch the pin out using a hammer and suitable sized nail. The pin can usually be pushed back into position using a pair of adjustable pliers or a vice.

  Exceptional 01 September 2016

  The prompt, accurate, and professional recognition of the component I required by the staff at e spares was frankly completely unexpected. Although I am a Chartered Engineer and have spent most of my career in international manufacturing companies at Director level, I have seldom come across such an effective, speedy, and customer orientated resolution to a similar request. I was about to purchase a new lawnmower at a cost of £125 when I decided to search for the broken component on my old lawnmower. At a cost of a few pounds, and and within a few days, I replaced the broken component, and my old lawnmower is now like new. But thats not all. I recieved from e spares a free, good quality ball point pen AND a voucher for £60 towards a purchase of wine. Well done everyone at e spares and if I ever need, or my friends need a spare part be sure your name will be first on the list.

  I'm glad I read the reviews. 11 July 2016

  I don't normally read these reviews but I'm glad I did in this case, had I not it would have taken me a long time to realise that the pinion is held on by a split pin and not some kind of grub screws. I got the old pin out by holding the motor in a vice and drifting the pin out with a small nail. Thanks to the previous contributors and to espares for their efficient service.

  Did what was expected 22 June 2016

  What can I say? It's a pinion, bought to replace a broken one. Had a little trouble getting the split pin out of the old one, but once that was removed the new one was fitted easily and worked well.

  A first class product but the removal of the original pin took an hour and a half! The fitting of the new product was v easy however and it works perfectly. A huge success.
