  Total waste of time and money. Does not dry washing any quicker or make it any softer. All they do is make the drying noisier as they hit the sides of the drum and door. Can not recommend this product!!

  Can't stand the noise! 31 January 2015

  No one else has mentioned it, so it must just be me ... but the noise these make rattling around in the drum is enough for me to have consigned these to the bin.

  Well I have had these for over a year and have not noticed any reduction in drying time, lint or extra softness. I have noticed they bump around noisily and the price has been reduced

  Dryer balls 13 January 2015

  My wife says they don't appear to work as efficiently as promised. She put some bed sheets in the dryer and the amount of fluff which developed was twice the normal amount. She thinks this reduces the quality of the sheets.

  Not convinced that they make a difference!. 19 February 2013

  Very noisey hitting drum. Did not notice that contents of tumble dryer were any softer than without, especially as we are a very hardwater area. Will stay with fabric softener.

  Dryer Balls 10 December 2012

  Bought these balls to ease the running costs of drying clothes, however unable to use, On placing them in dryer and switching on managed only to do a few turns of the drum before having to shut the dryer down because of the battering it was taking, waking the dead was what my wife said, surely they could have made the product of a softer material.

  Noisy and ineffective. Made no discernible improvemen.The dog likes them as a new toy so not a complete waste of money.

  No Difference - certainly no saving 20 November 2012

  We have used these for several weeks and have noticed no difference in the time it takes to dry the laundry. It does make items more fluffy - but I'm not sure whether the constant pounding by these HARD balls is not wearing down the material (probably), as well as damaging the machine (unlikely).

  Not noticed any difference 18 July 2012

  Well, easy to buy, came veryfast (thanks espares) and cheaper than retail shops. However, I've not noticed any difference in my drying times or clothes softness. I even dried two similar lots of clothes, one with and one without the balls. I've a relatively new branded dedicated dryer so I don't think that's the determining factor. One thing I noticed was the dryer is now noisier with the balls clonking around in it. They are quite hard and I can't help wonder if, over time, they'd wear out the inside. Good idea though I'm not convinced the marketing theory (hype) has come true for me.

  I HAVE USED THESE BALLS SEVERAL TIMES THEY DIDN'T REDUCE THE STATIC THEY ARE VERY NOISEY AND IN MY OPINION THEY DON'T REDUCE DRYING TIME
