  EXPENSIVE tool for Dyson DC08 31 May 2012

  It IS a ridiculous cost for this tool - confirmed in the reviews read here, before it was purchased - BUT, it does as it says on the virtual tin and it reaches very well on the top of my wardrobe. It could be reached by standing on a ladder, and done by hand. This saves all that hassle (unless it's a spring-clean!). There are more places that the Dyson Flat Out Head is good to be used on; ie: underneath my bed-frame / And, on top of [my] tracking hoist & track bar[s].

  found this an excellent foot for allover carpet and wood flooring. Found it a little difficult to get the foot secure with the added attachment as occasionally when suction was strong it brought the foot off.

  Disappointed customer 13 March 2012

  The tool fitted my dyson 22 exactly. But I am very disappointed with its performance especially as it was so expensive. I thought it would be more easier to use than the tool that came with the dyson but it didn't seem to do the job any better so I'm back to using the 1st one. I was looking a tool that would vacuum my rugs better. Maybe I went for the wrong one

  Superb Dyson product as always 30 January 2012

  Originally had the really bulky head with the rotating brushes, worked ok but was heavy and cumbersome. This new one is light and gets into areas that the old one could only dream about. Only downside is that there is no clip that allows it to sit on the Dyson base unit, which was on the old one.

  Works well, especially with the slim foot design. However the foot does not fit my DC08 rod, it needed an extra layer of tape wound around it to keep it from sliding off.

  in my opinion an excellent tool picks up really well on carpets and and the suction is so strong i have a job to push the tool on the forward pass the tool perfoms excellent on the drag back pass it brings the pile back u can see where the tool has cleaned the edge to edge clean is also excellent there are tools which can do better but the dyson flat out tool is the best as it cleans hard and carpet areas i use it on my bagged cleaner and it is so good it makes cleaning carpets easier highly recommended five reasons to buy 1 excellent performance on hard and carpeted areas 2 excellent suction self adjusts to surface with out changing dials or switches 3edge cleaning excellent no need to use a crevice tool to go round edges 4 leaves carpets cleaner removes more dust and debris from the carpet pile 5 well known brand and english makes out performs all competition

  The attachment tool is both flexible and efficient and ideal for use on laminate flooring. The head flattens for ease of hoovering under furniture and there is good suction at the edge where floor meets skirting board.

  The Flat Out Tool was far better in many ways than the tool that I had with my old, original, Dyson. It is easier to use and fits under low furniture and into the spaces that the old one didn't. It`s great for vacuuming all types of flooring without having to change tools. A very versatile tool to own.
