  Replacement spool for B&D strimmer GL660 10 August 2017

  As usual, an easy to fit replacement spool. I thought it was a bit pricey, but couldn't remember how much the last one cost. I was fractionally confused by the terms "trimmer" and "strimmer" on the website parts list. Are they the same pieces of equipment? Anyway, the one I chose fits. Delivery was prompt, as always. Why would I go anywhere else?

  Bough a new spool, with 1.5mm cord. Spool ok, but cord (strimer line) breaks too easily. It also snapped very close to the metal part of the spool, meaning that I had to remove the center peice almost everytime. And secondly, there seemingly, not evenly balanced, between the two sections. One ran out before the other. I reloaded the spool with cord, and this work perfectly.

  The line spool was purchased with a cover as I was unsure whether it was the cover or reel that was letting the line run free in the old unit. This was effective and now runs perfectly.

  I've tried once and once only to put the line onto the spool with zero success.Buying this product is the only to go and forget about trying to buy the line and winding it on yourself--unless you want to drive yourself bonkers.
