  Original spec so quality will hopefully be fine. Cost of belt okay but a bit of a money making scam increasing postage for additional belts ordered. Fitting is very awkward, for non technically minded males/females you have at least 5 screws to remove, awkwardly remove the brush gear and fit the belt in a tight opening. Then you have to exert pull to get brush gear into position which can be awkward as taughness is at end belt is fitted and there is a fitted guide on other side. Remember old hoover junior, remove brush gear slip on belt and pull onto drive spindle which was central with 2 hand access. pity we can't design for easier fit by users.

  The belt is good but does seem to break quickly - is that the fault more of the Hoover than the belt? I was unable to get the belt in retail stores so getting from here is very helpful - I always buy two to have one spare. Easy to fit.

  Hoover Belt breaks far too easily 30 May 2011

  I am now on my fifth belt. They break all too easily -- it takes only one piece of rubbish and the belt snaps. This happened with a Hoover Senior only once in its 30 years of service. I would not recommend this Hoover to anyone. Nor the attachment for pet hairs (on my third belt). Having moaned at Hoover/Candy, the service from eSpares was, as usual, perfectly satisfactory and the spare belts are in the kitchen cupboard waiting for the next time!
