  Not quite an exact replacement 23 May 2023

  Bought this element as a suggested replacement for a Smeg SUK92MFX5 but it was not identical, the original element had 3 mounting holes in the bar holding the electrical terminal end of the element, this replacement only has 2 - I had to drill the extra hole (between the 2 electrical terminals) to align with the fixing holes in the back of the oven. A bit of a nuisance but doable. Also just to note the terminal posts were about twice as long as the originals but luckily there was plenty of room through the holes in the rear of the oven to accommodate them; lastly this replacement had straight single spade connection on each terminal whereas the original element had "double" spade connections on each terminal allowing piggy backing of electrical wires to connect in a chain to another element - luckily not needed for my particular oven. All in all a lot cheaper element than the Smeg originals, and really not too much hassle to get it to fit my oven

  It fits my smeg 17 January 2023

  Really easy to replace the element in my smeg. Only had to drill a small 4mm hole in the centre of the mounting plate as the holes were either side on this component and didn’t suit.

  Purchased for older Smeg oven 02 November 2021

  Two notable issues with this part. First, there is no connector for an earth wire. While earthing may be unnecessary on the connector plate as the oven as a whole is earthed, my oven has an earth wire to connect to the heating element plate, and now there is nothing to connect it to. I needed to take the back off the oven to pull the earth wire clear and make it safe with electrical tape. This was considerably more effort than changing the element. Second, the connectors for Live and Neutral are set considerably further back from the fixing plate than original Smeg parts, an extra 2cm or more. Because the back plate on my oven was dented, this caused the connectors to press against the back plate. Again, with a little effort I've bent the back plate back into shape, but the connection points for the heating element are the points sticking furthest out of the back. As such, I'm only giving the part 3 for "ease of fitting" with my Smeg oven.

  Smeg SUK95 MFX5 heater element replacement - success 19 January 2019

  Oven was not heating up properly, so realised one of the two heating elements had failed. Fans still working fine. Took off cover plate at back of oven, which was easy to do, element is held in place by one screw in the back plate attached to the element and a screw below. Only two wires attached by male / female terminals. I attached a wooden clothes peg to each wire while changing the element over to make sure the wires didn't disappear into the back of the cooker. The replacement element did not have a hole in the middle of the back plate, so I had to drill one in. Easy enough task to do, worst thing was cleaning the oven, it was filthy! Definitely recommend this product, oven is blasting heat again now.

  Just what I needed 18 June 2018

  I bought two of these to replace the ones in my Smeg. Delivery & quality were as expected. I had to have a centre hole drilled through the plate but that was easy enough to do. I watched the video on your site & with the right tools, I was able to do this repair easily. Thank you! I recommend your site & your videos to everyone.

  Easy replacement! 25 June 2017

  This product arrived quickly and was easy to fit. My only gripe is that there wasn't a small lug on it, which meant it couldn't be attached to the oven's earth cable, as the original fitting had been. It means that I'm now awaiting a small welding job to be done, in order to attach a lug for the earth cable. In the meantime I am using the oven as normal. As my trip switch is sensitive, I'm confident that would go off first anyway, if ever there was a fault occurring!!

  Replacement cooker element 08 May 2017

  Product easy to identify from information on website. Dispatched promptly but arrived a day later than expected due to Bank Holiday. Well packaged and no problem fitting. Hope it last longer than the last one (21 months)

  Replacement for previous element (2 yrs old) 16 October 2016

  I have only given this a 3 rating for quality because this is a replacement for one that we bought in Dec 2014. Would have expected it to last longer than 2 years. However, service and delivery were excellent.
