  AEG Compact 406 now has a new lease of life 17 April 2019

  I have reverted to using my old, reliable AEG despite having to buy dust bags. These GR13 bags work well and can even be carefully emptied at least once to extend their life. There's no problem having just the one filter, if you use the one provided to make a template, including the position of the slits and cut out as many as you need from a piece of hobby felt, or rinse the one provided carefully & dry it.

  One serious problem 17 October 2017

  The bags are adequate replacements for AEG GR13 size. However there is one serious problem - the original product contained 5 microfilters, this product only contains 1 microfilter. This means that you will also need to order replacement microfilters that can be ordered but are not available and you will be left cutting an inferior product by Electrolux to the exacting requirements of AEG which is a tortuous, time-consuming and exasperating process.

  These value for money vacuum bags are hard to come by for our 30 year old vacuum cleaner - that's if you don't go to e-spares! Easy to fit and a good strong paper/cardboard. They last well and we've never had one split.

  Grateful to find vacuum bag for old model 16 January 2012

  I could not find this product in German-speaking Europe, where I live, not even via the manufacturer. Probably because my vacuum is over 15 years old.   If you have an AEG vacuum cleaner you will probably have already used these Paper Bag refills. They are the best thing for the job - easy to use, reassuringly solid, yet light. When full, they swell to a satisfyingly well padded bagfull of dust (or whatever is on your floor) which is easily removed and thrown away. As they say in Germany, they are absolutely wunder-bag!
