  Did the job - eventually 09 September 2013

  The spanner worked. I had to get a very strong person to help. I failed as did a strong fit male neighbor even though I applied WD40, chocked the blade, checked I was using anti clockwise - we could not budge the plastic nut. I even tapped the spanner with a hammer.

  Having cleared a old gardening shed and built a new one when I came to put a new blade on my mower I couldn't find the old one. E spares provided the solution buy a new one.

  Great little gem. 24 July 2013

  What a great little plastic spanner this is. Easy to use and it would be easy to lose but for the handy little hooked end designed especially for that big nail we all have sticking out of the woodwork in the garden shed.The bright orange Flymo colour makes it easy to spot against the dark wood too. Don't be shocked by the light weight of this little gem.......it's much stronger than it looks. It was very easy to replace both cutting blade and spacers on my Flymo HC300 with this gadget. Just remember not to do an impersonation of Samson when retightening the locknut on your mower as only light pressure is required for a secure fit. Great service from the guys at e spares with freebies thrown in too. I'm really pleased to have found this company because if you get stuck and need help there are videos and a great helpline and online advice centre to get you up and running. Job sorted!

  Fits the nut well and, despite being made of plastic, it is strong enough for some tough working on a stubborn bolt which is located in a tricky place. The flat bit on the spanner is just what is needed to remove ancient cuttings from the mower.
