I can see how to attach the one end to the gun but the inlet to the machine doesn't come out despite turning anti-clockwise continually......

Once the 'collar' is unscrewed the hose will often stay in place due to friction of the rubber O ring seal. If the collar is fully unscrewed the hose should simply pull off but this may take a bit of force to pull away.

No. We don't currently list any spares for that particular model but if you can find the chassis number on the machine (should start with a 1.4 or 6.3) and get in contact with customer services they could help find a suitable hose for that machine.

You'll probably looking at the ES538245 high pressure hose for that model but best to double check with customer services (0844 375 3 375) to make sure it's the correct one and will fit your machine.

  • The hose does detach you just need to keep the hose still and turn the thing that looks like a bottle top. When the replacement one comes you just do this in reverse to fit it. Good luck. By angie - LEIGH ON SEA - 04 June 2011

Our 620M is about 15 years old. The replacement hose my wife ordered from you has arrived. The illustrations on the box indicate the new hose can be fitted by prising off the old one but this doesn't seem to work. Do I need to undo the srews holding the gun/lance together and if so do I need a special allen key? Help please!

By nickmj - - 16 April 2010
  • No need to undo any screws. On the side of the gun about 1cm from where the hose enters it there is slider plate with a small recess. Get a flat blade screwdriver in the recess and prize the slider plate out. This will release the hose. Remove it and insert the new hose. Push the slider plate back in and away you go. I have a Karcher B203. Today it started to leak from the gun/hose connection. I removed the gun casing and inspected the hose connection to the gun. I did push the hose further into the gun but again when I put it together it leaked in the same area. I suspect with the water pressure if forced the hose connection back causing it to leak, or could the gun be at fault. Is this the correct hose cable required as a replacement if required? regards Norman

Answer this question

I am trying to find a replacement hose for my pressure washer. I can't find any in local shops and need 1 in the next day or so. various shops sell a hose but my one says "13MPa 40 degrees C" but the ones I have seen for sale say "15MPa 60 Degrees C" they seem to have a different fitment to the machine. Please help this is driving me mad. I would never have thought trying to buy a replacement hose would be such a nightmare. Nathan

Will this fit Karcher washer K4.91? It's not listed but it looks the same as the original hose which came with the washer. I used the original hose and lance with an extension hose but the thread has stripped and now 'blows' off at the joint. The lance hose nut is a tough plastic but the thread of the extension hose is brass. Do you think this difference in material may have caused the thread to strip? Problem is the thread on the washer is plastic and again the extension hose nut brass so I'm concerened the same thing could happen also.

Hi 3kidsgary. No, this hose is not designed to fit the K4.91. The only Replacement hose we have for this model is here: http://www.espares.co.uk/part/pressure-washers/karcher/k4.91m-del/p/1315/877/15/1065197/956093/pressure-washer-hose-and-.html It includes a gun, but is still cheaper than buying the hose alone for other Karcher machines.

Hi Vonnie, To disconnect your trigger gun from the hose you simply pull out the locking mechanism with your finger/thumb (located on the trigger gun by the hose connection point) and simply pull the hose out. To connect a new hose is just a case of inserting the hose in to the connection in the trigger gun and closing the locking mechanism in to place. Hope this helps!
