Product Q&A

Ask a Question

We have an incorrect installation where ceramic floor tiles have been "dot and dabbed" over underfloor heating. The air gaps have caused the underfloor heating to fail. If we are able to fix the heating wire, can this product be used to fill the gaps under the tiles and around the heating wire?

The problem would be to introduce this product without damaging the existing wires. You could try this but by the sound of it you may end up starting the whole installation again.

Fix-A Floor is a repair for the adhesive under the tile. You may have to carefully chip out the old grout and renew it.

We do not have details on this but if sealed after initial use would think it still to be usable for several months if kept in a cool place.

It can be used to firmly 'bed' the tile but may not 'fill' the crack.

The wooden parquet blocks are laid onto a solid concrete floor. If so how small can the hole be drilled?

Answer this question

HI - I want to use this product to fix a small bathroom floor - the tiled area is only 2 square meters. All tiles are loose as I used the wrong tiling adhesive (should have used flex). All the grouting is loose or gone. I lifted one tile and the tiling adhesive basically nearly shows the pattern of the underside of the porcelain tiles, and there are no gaps for the adhesive to go. Question - I'd have to remove all loose grout & re-grout first right? Or best to remove grout, lift tiles, spread adhesive, place tile on top, then once dry re-grout? I.e. could i mark the tiles so i know where they go, lift them all, cover the area with fix a floor and settle tiles back on top and let dry? Or is re-grouting the better option? How many tubes would I need for that area? About 3?

Without removing the old brittle grout if you re fixed your tiles they could come away again. in this case we would suggest start again and remove all adhesive. You should use a flexible adhesive as this may not be thick enough to support and adjust the tiles correctly.

There is only one size currently available and we would expect it to eventually cure unless made completely air tight once opened.

Answer this question

Obviously I do not want to do any drilling on or between floorboards and the gaps are minimal, so how is it applied?
