High quality replacement spare part for use with select models of cookers
My oven heats up ok but if I reduce the temperature until the light goes out, as it clicks for the light to go out it throws the trip switch in the fuse board. Is this likely to be the issue? 1 Answer

It is possible for the regulator to cause this problem but it is more likely generally to be the element.
My FCEM9 as above. Could it be the regulator as the elements seem fine!

It may be the element, thermostat or electrical cable failure causing the problem. However please view our advice centre page which will give you more information, http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2145 The model in this video may be different to yours, however the process should be similar for other makes and models.

Check the power connections at the wall and at the terminal block on the back. if these are not loose or burning suspect the module.

The grill is controlled by a regulator and this part is likely to resolve your problem.

If your display changes when you set it and then goes back to a different figure this may be to display the 'real' oven temperature as opposed to 'the requested temperature'. If the oven is not reaching the selected temperature and you are not using it on the 'fan' settings check all the elements are ok ie Upper grill and base oven element.
the element checks out resistance ok at 23 ohms

On some ovens the top oven thermostat is still connected during grilling and will cause this problem. Ensure the air flow around the grill pan is as good as possible with the door wide open. If the power cuts off for over a minute the problem may be the safety thermostat inside the back at the top of the oven.
