Most of these type of hoses just 'push in' there should be no need for glue or sealant if not used during manufacture.

Answer this question

Just wondered if JH could elaborate on the design fault he has mentioned above, as the hose looks ok (no holes or air escaping) but there is a leak somewhere by this hose (maybe where it joins to the dispenser drawer) because it is water stained?

The only 'issue' you are likely to have in our opinion is the rubber loop that holds the hose can break if the tub moves excessively on spinning with an out of balanced load.

Answer this question

does this hose come with a new clip and also how do you release this clip at the dispenser end of the hose. I have a leak coming from top end of this hose but not sure if the hose or clip is at fault. Not sure how to release this clip without breaking it. thanks

The hose clip is likely to come seperately and is removed by using a large pair of pliers to close the clip 'ears' together expanding the clips diameter. Before you blame the hose or clip the usual reason for leaking in this area is due to mould or limescale build up in the dispenser jets causing water to be deflected over the draw and down the front of the machine on final rinse.
