Fitted replacement to Meile T250C. Not cured problem of no heat on drying cycles, only on a timed warm cycle; so heater working. Then watched your video of how to fit: no instructions on polarity supplied? and no help in orientation when original removed. Do faulty thermostats occur? or is it the other style of thermostat adjacent that has gone?

There is no polarity on this thermostat. For information to diagnose your problem see our video: How to Diagnose Tumble Drier Drying and Heating Problems http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/9/2050
Can this type of thermostat (T230C) be re-set by putting in the freezer for a couple of hours? 1 Answer

Hi mark, putting a thermostat can temporarily repair it - however it's not recommended. Like I say, it's usually only a temporary fix, as the metal in the thermostat may have become compromised. If it is compromised, the problem can come back. I'd advise you replace the thermostat - it's not too difficult. Check out this video for help: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/tumble-dryers/a/9/1284/how-to-fix-a-dryer-thats-not-heating-up-hotpo.html
I have cleaned out the filters at the front.
