I replaced a blown oven light 25watt. ok. Next day the oven circuit breaker tripped when heating the main oven/bulb had blown to bits and although main oven is heating up (after cct breaker restored) main oven fan keeps going forever.

It is likely the oven function switch has contacts that have welded together and the switch will need replacing.

Answer this question

Hi,I bought from yourselves and fitted with a lot of difficulty a new universal fan motor. The old motor was a lot different and after mounting the cut out which was fixed to the old motor to one of the mounting bolts on the new motor everthing was working. I screwed the back plate in and switched on. There was a flash and after dissasembling I found that the cut out had moved on the stud and shorted out on the fan motor. The cut out was ruined so as a check I joined the 2 wires from the cut out together to see if it would work. By swapping the motor wires around I can get the fan motor running without the oven element and vice versa but now not both together. If I buy a new cut out switch wiil both then work together? I would have thought that joining the cut out wires together would have the same effect? Please let me know of the fix as I am now sick of stews, beans and soup. Regards.
