What diameter of pipe does this coupler fit onto, and how long is the coupler from end to end? 1 Answer
I need to repair a leak beneath the sump of my Bosch dishwasher, but the leaking flexible pipe is actually welded onto the sump body, so I want to cut it off and replace with a flexible coupling. I just need to find the right size. (I've done this before when another one of the welded-on flexible pipes failed. It's much easier than taking out and replacing the entire sump unit!)

This particular part of the dishwasher has a tendency to deteriorate over time. If your dishwasher doesn't appear to be cleaning very well then it could be time to replace the hoses first. Fitted on a John Lewis model, this seems to have done the trick with a small leak now gone. It's quite annoying to clean the old one away because it's normally glued in place but coupled with some hose clips, the replacement procedure is pretty straightforward. You can epoxy this in place like the original for good measure but the fit seems good enough. Quality seems as good as the original. Hopefully should get another few years of good service out of the dishwasher.
