    drum bearing set

Everything in the set was quality, perfect fit and satisfactory. To fit the parts needed a complete strip down of the machine and splitting the drum. It was not an "easy fit" job, but quite feasible though time consuming. To have done the strip down and find the parts would not fit would have been heart breaking. E-spares is a supplier of reliable parts in my experience. The video was helpful too.

fitting the new back and front bearings with a new seal is realy worth it! this model requires no drum splitting and was completed within 2 hours, just remove top cover and back plate, undoe and remove belt, and wheel, then the three spider bolts in center, remove top concrete block(2 bolts) this allows you to undoe the three spider outer bolts. slip spider out and whack out old bearings, clean up, then knock in new bearings and seal, job done! my 21 year old machine now sounds and works like new!tools needed 13mm spanners a hammer and a cross headed screw driver.

You should always replace both bearings, the bearing seal and the tub seal when replacing bearings.

  • Two bearings, the seal, some grease (e-spares sent me the grease without me ordering it) is all you need. Watch the online video to see how to do it, and get on with it. It is not a quick fix, you need patience and the time to do it. Allow yourself a whole morning or whole afternoon to accomplish the task. It goes back together much quicker than taking it apart because it takes time to figure out how it all dismantles. By Nick - UK - 18 March 2013

Hi Stupid, there are two bearings that go in the F1245W, http://www.espares.co.uk/part/washing-machines/electrolux/p/1085/15/0/0/502482/washing-machine-rear-drum.html and http://www.espares.co.uk/part/washing-machines/zanussi/p/1085/332/0/0/104213/front-drum-bearing.html.

Hi Shark This part shouldn't cause too many problems to fit - you just need a screwdriver and a certain amount of patience. As the name gives away this bearing is fitted at the rear of your washing machine, and you will have to take a couple of bits apart but I'm sure you're up to the task. If you feel you aren't however we always recommend getting in touch with your local handyman or washing machine specialist. Good luck!
