I have a Neff oven B1421N2GB and need 2 replacement knobs, of which both of these parts say fit. What is the difference between these parts and is one a better fit than the other?

Hi Raub, apologies, ES543491 was listed as fitting your model, when on closer inspection it doesn't do anything of the sort. Thanks for bringing this to my attention; your model has been removed from the list on ES543491. To confirm, this is the knob you're after for your cooker.

Hi Coop, I've not got your cooker - but all the cookers that I've owned in the past work the same way. The bottom of most cooker knobs are essentially a hollow square tube which is capped by the knob itself. This hollow tube is what slots onto your cooker. Your old knob should be able to be removed from the stove by gripping the knob and firmly pulling up. The new knob should be a doddle to fit by simply doing the reverse. Line up the negative space on the underside of the knob with the shaft on the cooker that it's meant to slot onto and push down. Hope that helps!

Please confirm whether this is the genuine original part as I understand they are not available (no longer supplied) and a smaller replacement part is only available.
