The DC04 does not have a screw securing the fixing

This switch housing is different to other models and we do not have a video for it. This part appears to be held in place with a screw through the hole in the middle. Once the screw is removed it should allow this and the switch components to be pulled out of the main body to replace the switch. Sorry but we do not have any further information available to us.

Hi there, first you'll need to remove the on-off switch - check out from 1:15 in this video for help doing that: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/vacuum-cleaners/a/4/1312/how-to-replace-a-motor-on-a-dyson-dc07.html. The vacuum is a different model from yours but the process will be similar. After doing that you'll be able to free the switch housing. Then you'll need to remove the plug from the other end of the cable - then you'll be able to slide the old switch housing off the power cable. Reverse the process to fit the new one. Best of luck!
