Washing Machine Door Interlock

If your washing machine is not starting, but the facia panel seems to show that all is correct, it could actually be an issue with the door interlock. If the door interlock fails, it means that your machine will not operate.

The door interlock is an electronic device that is designed to give a time delay of approximately 2 minutes before the door of a washing machine can be opened once the wash/drying cycle has competed. Door locks should be checked regularly to ensure that they are working correctly. During the cycle the door should remain locked; as it is can be extremely dangerous if this is not the case.

With help from eSpares, a fully working washing machine can soon be yours again. With this replacement interlock, we can get your appliance back to working order - so you can get through the laundry that is piling up at home!

do I have to replace both items - stock no's ES505297 and ES110218? my machine was working but now the ''door'' light does not come on so water does not flow into machine, so guess it's the interlock that has gone

ES110218 is a magnetic catch for integrated machines decor doors. Check your motor brushes (see How to replace the carbon brushes on a washing machine - Bosch: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/1379 )
