My hotpoint double oven BD31 top grill control knob does not control the element. It stays full on what ever setting it's set to. What could be the problem? 1 Answer
- Could well be the same problem that I had, cured by replacing the rotary switch for that hotplate. It now works perfectly.
I have an EW62N hotpoint cooker with a faulty grill. Have changed both elements but they only get warm not glowing. Would this be a faulty energy regulator switch. If so is this a single or double regulator. 1 Answer

Hi GILLY, there's a very easy way to check if it's the energy regulator switch is damaged - remove the metallic cover and twist the spindle around all function to see if the contacts are all still working properly. This is easily visually diagnosed. If it looks ok, it's overwhelmingly likely that the thermostat will need replacing.
What's the different between Hotpoint Cooker EW62N, EW62P & EW62G? Mine is just EW62 in beige colour - how do I know which one is my correct model number? 1 Answer

Hi Cozzy, the suffixes simply indicate the difference in colour. The EW62P is white and the EW62G is green. Yours is the EW62N, officially called 'linen' - however beige would tend to be how most would describe it.

Hi Phil, you can fit the new regulator according to the colour of the wires. The live wire will be red or brown, and the neutral wire will be black or blue. If there is an earth wire, it will be green and yellow.
The energy regulator has blown on my cooker. It was the energy regulator for the main oven. The hotpoint cooker I have has a top oven and main. I am unsure which one to order.

Hi Gerardy, single and dual energy regulators fit different cooker's and depend on the circuitry of the model. To find you the right regulator, I'll need your cooker's model number. For help finding it, use our guide: http://www.espares.co.uk/findingmodelnumbers.aspx#a1
