the vhd814-80 machine is flashing the lights 3 times; any suggestions on what this code means? thanks

Hi, Model number is vhd814-80. The error code was the 1200 spin light and the timer saver light flashing together thanks

On Hoover machines the error code is determined from the number of flashes, look carefully and the light flashes at a regular pulse before pausing and repeating. Count the flashes between the pause will give a error 'number' that can guide you to the problem. HI Daniel, thanks for the info - I am all ready to order the parts I need form you, just want to ensure it is the right problem! I put the machine on an empty spin and the drum turned for a certain amount of time slowly but when the cycle would normally go into a fast spin, it stopped and flashed the error code again. Model is vhd44/80 I believe

We still do not recognise this model number so cannot get specific information. The error code would also be useful to try and identify the cause. This could be a motor/brushes problem or a fault with the control board.
I have checked all filters, pumps and motors - all are clean and work. the washing machine will go into a mode and fill and drain with water and the drum turns but will not spin - is this the capacitor?

We dont have your model number to be specific but nearly all washing machines do not use a capacitor to power one of the windings in the way a tumble dryer would so this problem is almost certainly not related to this part. Does the drum go to the spin speed when empty?. If it does then the problem is either worn brushes or a balanced load problem. If it spins empty place 3 or 4 large towels on there own and retry as the machine should be able to balance them correctly.
My drain pump is working as can hear it but the red impellor at fron of hoover vision hd machine is not turning and only turns with a 'ping' when i use a screwdriver to turn it. is this the only thing i need to replace?
