In the user manual it states a low sound can be heard when the flame is operating.

There is a panel located at the back held in by screws, once removed you can slide the panel out of the way to get to the bulb.

No flame, no fan, nothing. I have changed the fuse but still no joy. I have checked the wiring and all seems in order. Any suggestions please?

You will need to test the circuit with a multimeter to determine what has failed, start with the switch as that is the most likely.
