Washing Machine Mechanical Door Interlock
If your washing machine is not starting with the relevant lights lit on the fascia panel, then it could be because the door interlock has failed. You can end up with water leaking from the machine if the door is not locked correctly during the wash cycle.
The door interlock is an electronic device that provides a time delay of approximately 2 minutes before the door can be opened after the wash cycle has been completed.

Check the button is connecting to the control board, if OK it is likely the door lock is not working.

For information see the video we have now attached to this part as it will give a general guide.
Your video shows how to remove this part if screwed on to machine. But this part is clipped in place with no screws so how can it be removed? Thanks.

Machine wasn’t working properly, I changed the Door lock in less than a minute and Machine now works perfectly!
