Refrigerator Air Filter

The carbon filter absorbs harmful particles like gas and bacteria and it neutralises unpleasant odours. So, if your fridge is starting to smell the best way to keep your fridge in tip top condition is to replace the carbon filter which will also help keep the air clean.

This is a genuine spare for select AEG, Arthur Martin, De Dietrich, Electrolux, Electro Helios, Husqvarna, John Lewis, Juno, Privileg, Rex, Rosenlew, Zanussi and Zoppas refrigerators shown in the list of appliances.

    Wrong pong!

A lingering odour, from a non-obvious source, forced me to gut & clean the fridge (even using the traditional, bi-carb method). Within a couple of days the smell was obvious again. After tracing the fridge manual, which suggested the carbon filter could be the problem (advised to be replaced annually, but in fact had been overlooked for 4 years!!), the filter was sent for and easily fitted. Thankfully the offending odour dissipated. 1 up for the maker's routine service advice!!

    Refrigerator Air Filter

Searched the web found this supplier, ordered, paid and received within three days. Product as described only difference to OMP was the original filter had a thin membrane cover on it.

These filters are designed to absorb smells not dust and washing them is likely to reduce rather than increase their effectiveness.
