Is this pump suitable for hotpoint WM61? The video shows a bosch pump being fitted. the pump on my hotpoint is held on with three screws, whereas the pump shown in the video was fitted by turning clockwise i.e. no screws to hold in place. 1 Answer

Machine makes really loud noise when spinning is this the pump?

Open the door and spin the drum while off. if it makes a rumbling noise and has movement between the inner drum lip and the seal it is likely the bearings are worn. If it spins quietly but your noise starts as soon as it drains the water it could be the pump. See: How to Diagnose Drum Problems in a Washing Machine : http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/2625
looking at some reviews thay say that have had to cut and adjust to get the pump to fit
