  Hi Woodster, the life of a filter is entirely dependent on how often you use it. For instance, if you are using it several times a day, you'll probably need to change filters once a month. Alternatively, if you use it only occasionally, a filter might last six months. Best way to test is to run some water through the filter and taste it compared to a regular tap water - if you can't taste any difference, it could be time for a new filter.
