Have just bought heating element which worked but has now failed

Hi my Hoover VHC681B was operating but didn't heat up then stopped with all warning lights flashing which indicated that I needed to change the heating element C/W thermostats, I ordered the replacement heater from you and installed it after also giving the drier a good clean (condenser element etc.) The new heater worked no problem but now less that a week later I have the same problem. Am I just unlucky enough to have a faulty heater element or is it something else, how do I test the heater element?

Switching straight off stopping the circulation fan immediately when the element is heating can cause overheating and damage the element as the circulating air stops. Always allow the appliance to finish a cycle or select 'cool down' or 'cool cycle' to remove heat around the element before stopping.
