My washing machine fails to pump out water.

I have cleaned the pipes and made sure they are free flowing, 2; I have changed the drain pump for a new one and still it does not pump out. My machine cycle timer clicks round and then stops when it should be pumping. My machine is a Hoover 1300

If you have an old fashioned mechanical timer check if it has other 'pump out' periods like between rinses or final spin as it may pump then. If this is the case it is likely to be a faulty timer.
