1 is this the fluff filter refered to as the base filter onthe control panel error lights? and 2 is this just a piece of open cell foam or does
it come with the holder?

- I think it is the base filter you refer to. It sits in front of the condenser plates. It is made of mesh held in a frame which slides into the holder. It is much better than the open cell foam which was the original filter and just got clogged and eventually degraded.

Hi Smith The fluff filter can indeed also be referred to as the base filter. The part comes the holder only - the foam is not included.
