Washing Machine will not drain
There appears to be a float in the drain hose, it is slightly smaller than the circumference of the hose. If I disconnect the hose from the trap spigot and push the float back the pressure is released and the water will flow out into a bucket, why is the flot blocking the water flow.

The drain hose should not have anything in it as that will stop the machine from draining correctly.
