whats the best way for me to clean my tumble dryer condenser unit?

  • This is a brilliant tip - Thanks Rory ! If I may add to it - put the shower onto its most narrow pattern, turn it as hot as it'll go, and then squirt water between the slots from one end, turn it over and repeat from the other. Then switch to cold water and repeat from each end. I found 3 or 4 cycles of hot/cold got more than 80% of the caked-on fluff out. Of course, it'd be better if you never let it get that bad in the first place ! Note to self - clean the filters more regularly ! By Jon-a-fun - Bristol - 29 January 2015
  • Hi, I regularly de-fluff the condenser unit with a kids paint brush. More infrequently - maybe every two months - I take it out to the garden hose and flush it through with that. Works brilliantly. By Anonymous - Uxbridge - 10 November 2012

Hi Jinxnumber1 The tumble dryer condenser unit is simple enough to clean. It slides out of the dryer with a few clicks, and then it's a case of rinsing the excess fluff out with water - I'd recommend using your shower head as the part is too large to fit in a kitchen sink. Good luck!
