is thats why its smokeing because it needs replacing
theres smoke comeing from wave cover now theres little hole in it whats the problem

- Happened to my microwave. It's probably fat build up that's now caught fire and burnt away the cover. It won't get better! You need to replace the wave guide cover. It was an easy job on my oven, just a couple of screws.

Hi Anon, It sounds like your wave guide cover needs to be replaced... From your description of smoke and holes in the cover I would suspect that there was probably some food that got splatterd on it - then reheated at a high temperature that it caused the guide cover to melt. Splatters on the light bulb cover can also cause the cover to melt too; which is why we recommend giving your microwave a wipe down after cooking food that splatters. In the meantime; please get that wave guide cover replaced - it's not safe to use one that has hole in it!
