my whirlpool AWZ 241 is failing to heat , what part do i need? the themostat or the heating element ?

Answer this Question (1 Answer)

  • Hi, Its a 60/40 chance on either being the problem. Bear in mind the part has 2 x thermo fuse attached to the element, and a simple continuity test will tell you if its these, or check the resistance on the element to confirm it. Either way you have to buy the part complete... If you find no problems on the element or attached thermal fuses, Make sure you check the thermal fuse on the exhast outlet, before ordering, as if its this, it can be more expensive to repair.
