Do you have a thermostat for my Hotpoint fridge.

It is a Hotpoint Iced Diamond Auto Defrost fridge Model 8120, the serial number is 08804100, It is several years old maybe 20 years. The problem is :- It seems to be working all the time, if I turn the thermostat back lower it turns off but does not cut in again unless I turn the dial off and then turn it on again when it then cuts in but will only work at a high setting. Is it worth replacing if you have a compatible one, and is it easy to fit.

If it has run for a continuous period it is likely to be lower than its normal operational temperature. Set to 3/4 setting and leave for 8 hours to see if it comes back on before condemning the thermostat. If it still does not restart replace the thermostat.
