When I leave my dishwasher for an extended period of time, ie a long weekend, it fills with water without being switched on. Is this likely to be an issue with the inlet solenoid valve?

The dishwasher is 11 years old and is a Siemens SE26T551GB/07. Is the inlet solenoid valve just in the Aquastop valve?

Test the plumbing as if it's filling when off it may be due to backfilling, check if its dirty water as this will confirm it before suspecting the valve.
