What would be the cause of burnt/charred connectors on the Lamona lam3301 Oven Cooling Motor Thermostat connection terminals? Could this just be due to the thermostat itself?

I should add the oven indicator light turns on when the temperature dial is turned but as soon as you engage any mode on the other dial e.g. fan oven or grill the light goes out and oven doesn't heat or fan doesn't activate.

A loose connection can cause the wire to burn and it should be replaced as it may have disconnected from the circuit which is why the oven does not heat up.
